Hola los ninos, muchachas, y hombres. Me llamo Ramon. Que pasa. Como estas? Estas Bien o Malo? Bien. Muy excellente. Estudie el espanol por cinco anos pero olvide todo.
I am very happy to be here to share about the love of God.
How did you like the skit? Did you like Muchachos de X? Who was your favorite character? Who liked wolverine, raise your hand? He’s the guy with the sharp claws. And he’s a good dancer. How about Superman? How about Storm? I like Storm the best because she is the one who cooked that yummy chicken. What about Jean Gray who could move things with her mind?
Each of these characters was so different. One had claws, one could fly. Another could make storms. One had mind powers.
Look around. We are all so different. Some are big, some are small, some are fast, some are slow, some can play music, others can play sports. We are all so different.
The Bible says that although we are all different, God loves us equally.
I have 2 boys – Timothy who is 5 years old and Jeremiah who is 2 years old. They are so different. Timothy is quiet. Jeremiah is loud. Timothy likes to play chess and card games. Jeremiah sees a ball, Jeremiah throws a ball. Timothy doesn’t eat that much. Jeremiah eats EVERYTHING on his plate and then says I WANT MORE! Like his daddy.
But because I am their father, I love them equally. Did you know that God is our heavenly father? That means we are his children. That is why even though we are different, God loves us the same. Like me and my 2 boys.
Why does God love us? Because God made us with his own loving hands.
The Bible says (point) he knew you, he knew (point) you, he knew (point) you, before any of you were born. Wow, isn’t that fantastic? That means he knows us very well. He knows what we like, what we don’t like. What makes us happy, what makes us sad. God knows us completely.
Who likes to draw? What do you like to draw? Imagine having to draw your favorite robot with your eyes closed? What do you think it would look like? It probably wouldn’t look too good. One eye might be big, the other eye might be small. Maybe your nose would be coming out of the side of your head.
But our lives are not like that picture. When you look outside and stare at a tree or a butterfly or your family, there is so much beauty in our lives, right? God made this world and each of you with his loving hands. That is why so many things around us are beautiful.
It’s like your mom cooking your favorite meal. She doesn’t close her eyes and mix random ingredients and throw them into a pot. And magically you have your favorite deal in front of you. She carefully picks them and she prepares the meal with love. In the same way, God lovingly made each of you. You are unique. You are one of a kind. There is no one like you in the entire world. God made each of you very special.
And because you are loved by God, your lives are very expensive. You are very precious to God.
When I was a kid, my favorite toy was an Incredible Hulk. Do you know the Hulk? The green guy with big muscles. It only costs a few dollars and over time it got old and the pants were ripped and dirty. But because I loved it, to me, it was so precious. Even if you gave me 10 million pesos, I would not give you my Hulk.
How much do you think you cost to God? How many pesos? Any guesses? Did you know that ALL the money in the ENTIRE world could not buy even one of you. Not one. Each of you is that precious
to God.
So what did we learn today?
1) Although we are all so different, God is our heavenly Father who loves us equally.
2) Why does God love us? Because he made us with his own loving hands. Before you were born, he knew you completely.
3) And because you are loved by God, your lives are very expensive.
You are all so precious. Don’t let others tell you that you are not loved because you are not rich enough, or smart enough. Or fast enough or talented enough. Remember, God loves you just as you are. And that is enough.
