It’s a new day. Yesterday was my last day at work. I was free to leave after a farewell lunch, but I ended up staying until the end of the day. I don’t know why. It was odd.
I had been praying for a change for a while now and thought I’d be running out the door when that time came. But for whatever reason, I hesitated. I wanted to enjoy the warm fellowship of my colleagues and soak in the memories because everything was the last time of something. The last lunch. The last morning walk to Coffee Bean. The last (and first) Banana Parfait. The last customer support ticket. It was surreal.
Yesterday was a strange day. A day of promise, relief, excitement, fear, all at the same time. I guess this is what stepping out in faith looks like…
