Paris. San Bernardino. Brussels. Lahore. Attacks by Islamic terrorists are becoming so common, it’s hard to keep them straight. And these are just the ones that catch the attention of the Western world. Scores of people are being killed by ISIS and Boko Haram in Africa and the Middle East, though their deaths don’t make bold-font headlines. Anyone paying attention has to ask, “Is Islam a religion of peace like so many claim? Or is it a religion of jihad?”
My guest today to talk about these questions is Nabeel Qureshi. Raised in the United States as a devout Muslim, Qureshi became a follower of Jesus after closely studying the historical claims of both Islam and Christianity. He is on the speaking staff of Ravi Zacharias International Ministries and is the author of Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus: A Devout Muslim Encounters Christianity. Today he joins me to talk about his newest book, Answering Jihad: A Better Way Forward [excerpt | review].
