Fierce Like a Lion, Gentle Like a Lamb

March 25, 2018 By ray

Preacher: Pastor Ray Text: Matt 18:1-20 Since Jesus is both the Lion of Judah and the Lamb of God, as followers of Christ, we ought to be fierce like lions toward sin and gentle like lambs toward the little ones in the body of Christ.

Post-Election 2016: Where Do We Go From Here? (1 Peter)

November 13, 2016 By ray

Preacher: Pastor Ray Our country is divided. Angry protests. Fear. Confusion. Where do we go from here now that Donald Trump is soon to be our 45th President? Does the Bible have anything to say? Listen as the Apostle Peter speaks a fresh word with surprising relevance to Christians living in America today. Sermon […]

Philippians 2: Humility (pt2 of 3)

September 30, 2013 By ray

How come we treat our relationship with Christ as equal to the church or equal to the work we do at church? In fact, it may be more accurate to say, why do we treat Christ as LESS important than church? Didn’t Paul say in Phil 1:23 that departing this life and being with Christ […]

To diligently keep the unity, the people of God have to live lives worthy of our salvation. In other words, they have to be true Christians who are humble and gentle and patient and accepting of one another in love. How is unity broken? By taking the completely opposite attitude and behavior that true believers […]

Eph 4: The Truthful Church (pt1 of 3)

July 21, 2013 By ray

Today, I want to talk about Christian maturity. Individual maturity is important, but equally important is the maturity of our church. We have some mature or maturing members of this church, but in my opinion, as a church, we are still immature. How do we become mature corporately as members of Hill Community Church? That’s […]

Galatians 6 – What Does It Mean To Be Spiritual? (pt1 of 3)

June 24, 2013 By ray

What does it mean to be spiritual? If I asked 10 people in this room that question, I bet I would get 10 different answers. To be spiritual is be one with nature. Or to be spiritual is to have deep and intimate fellowship with the divine force of the universe. Or to be spiritual […]
